Lake District Private Tour
Private transport for a self-guided day out or multi-day itinerary. We provide the vehicle and driver, plan the agreed collections and stops, and confirm the schedule and price before booking. Admission tickets, tour guides, meals and passenger accommodation are not included unless specifically agreed in writing.
The Lake District is around six hours from London each way, so it is planned as a multi-day journey, typically based around Windermere or Keswick.
Daily plans are agreed with you before travel: lake cruises, Grasmere, the passes and walking drop-offs with collection at the other end. Cruise and attraction tickets are booked by you.

- Usually two to four days; around six hours each way from London. Journey times and durations are planning estimates and depend on traffic, the number of stops and time spent at each. Your quotation states the reserved hours and proposed routing; it is not an unlimited day.

- Any London address, or a meeting point outside London by arrangement.
- Return
- Return on the final day as set out in the agreed itinerary.
- Passengers and luggage
- Standard 8 Seater for up to 8 passengers, Executive Luxury 16 Seater for up to 16, each plus the driver. Tell us how many large cases, cabin bags and specialist items you will carry. We check the load against your passenger numbers and confirm the suitable vehicle in your written quotation.
- Included
- the vehicle and driver for the reserved hours; planning of the agreed collections, stops and return; fuel.
- Book separately
- admission tickets and timed-entry slots; tour guides; meals and refreshments; passenger accommodation. Where an attraction uses timed entry, book your slots first and send them to us so the schedule can be finalised around them. We cannot guarantee attraction availability, special access or walking distances.
- Driver arrangements
- For multi-day journeys the quotation itemises, where applicable, driver accommodation, driver subsistence, crossings and tolls, and whether a second driver is needed to stay within legal driving hours. These are not included unless they appear on the quotation.

How many days do we need?
Two nights is a practical minimum from London; three to four allows a more relaxed itinerary.
Is driver accommodation included?
Only if it appears on your quotation. Driver accommodation, subsistence and any second driver are itemised where applicable.
